Trisoft releases Trisoft InfoShare 3.4

Trisoft NV is proud to announce the release of Trisoft InfoShare 3.4. This new major release builds upon what was already one of the most powerful content management solutions for technical communication within globally operating enterprises. Since its original release in 2001, Trisoft InfoShare has been used on a daily basis by technical documentation and communication departments worldwide to efficiently create, translate, personalize and publish their product information.

New or improved functionality in this release includes:

· InfoShare Authoring Bridge making InfoShare's CMS capabilities available right from within Arbortext Editor. An InfoShare menu is available within the editor to perform actions like creating new objects, checking out, checking in, previewing, inserting links and hyperlinks, etc.

· Translation reporting and statistics which enable translation coordinators to get a quick overview of a publication for any given target language. These reports show how many objects are in each status (e.g. how many can be sent for translation), what the estimated number of words is that has to be translated and how many words have already been pre-translated by InfoShare.

· Extended audit trail capabilities to provide an overview of the life cycle of a single object. You are able to trace who has made modifications, when these modifications have been made, which revisions have been reviewed, which revisions have been approved and so on.

· Enhanced communication between InfoShare and translation or translation workflow tools to seamlessly transfer data between the two systems. Since modular writing inherently results in an increased handling effort and administrative overhead of translations, translators can now optimally use their translation memory tools and handling and administration is reduced to a minimum.

· Continued support of the DITA standards out-of-the-box. All benefits of DITA in terms of standard information architecture, pre-defined output formats, interchangeability, etc. are now available in InfoShare.

· Seamless integration with the DITA Open Toolkit supporting multiple output formats out-of-the-box (HTML, Compound XML, HTMLHelp, PDF,.).
