What makes a corporate language consistent? It is definitely a consistent style that makes a corporate language distinctive; however, the company’s own vocabulary and typical corporate terminology are also of crucial importance. This vocabulary is not simply a list of words or a glossary. It is more than that. That is why we call it terminology.
This presentation shows what constitutes good terminology, how it is created and how it is used and how that terminology has an impact on many areas of a company. It is an important prerequisite for taxonomy and ontologies and has a positive influence on the quality of translations.
