Comtech Services welcomes Dr. Amanda Patterson to our consulting and training team. Amanda’s technical communication experience, particularly in the manufacturing sector, provides expertise in developing and managing comprehensive technical communication strategies. In her most recent role as a technical communications manager, she was responsible for managing the documentation lifecycle of ~2k documents authored by five writers using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and leading an Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Guides implementation.
She excels in creating and managing visions and strategies that align content development and publication with organizational goals. Her process improvement techniques have significantly decreased time to market while increasing documentation quality. She is adept at CCMS and CMS administration and software implementation and uses metrics and analytics to make data driven decisions as part of critical thinking.
Amanda is a Director for the Society of Technical Communication (STC). She has been a community leader for the Rochester, NY and Rocky Mountain Chapters and taken on several council roles over the years including Programs Manager and Chapter President. Additionally, she Chairs the STC Summit Committee, which is responsible for planning, organizing, and curating the program for STC’s annual conference. Amanda is a regular webinar guest and conference presenter with appearances in STC chapter programing, STC Rochester’s Spectrum Conference, STC Summit, The Content Wrangler, Adobe DITAWorld, and CIDM’s ConVEx.
As a senior consultant, Amanda will support a few areas. She will develop and teach new workshops on generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) and work with clients to build information models, design DITA-based content strategies, and implement DITA solutions. Amanda will also be helping the consulting team manage projects.
Additionally, she will continue to be a regular contributor at industry conferences and publications.
